Phishing

Phishing is the act of “stealing” usernames, passwords and credit card details using the internet or any prohibited software. Professional hackers who are capacitated to invade websites, send people fake emails in the name of famous banks and/or online payment processors telling them to go to some website and type their username password to access their accounts, and in most of the time they are so good that they can even imitate the bank’s website to make sure that the people will “trust” them.
Sometimes Phishing happens because the bank’s online security is not good enough, so these capacitated people invade those websites and capture everyone’s passwords.
To avoid this clandestine action, you have to make sure that the email that you receive from your bank is a real email without any dangerous stuff in it. It is a really hard mission to realize, but try not to trust every announcement especially on internet.

Trojan Horse

Trojan Horse:
A Trojan Horse is a virus that appears as a helpful and useful application. When you download a program to help you to do some different thing on internet such as to download faster, “find out” people’s passwords, cheat on games and even have a “special” Anti-virus, you can’t see but Trojan Horses are included in these software as a “special packed” able to destroy your computer really fast. What people don’t know in most of the time is that a Trojan Horse is not a software that just hacks and steals people’s passwords, it is also able to create a “backdoor” or a “trapdoor,” which can be used to send your personal information to another location. To protect your system from a Trojan horse, extensive anti-virus software is a good first step, and also make sure that your Anti-virus is able to scan your email account, since people whom were already infected will probably send you a “surprise” (if you get what I mean).

Worms

Computer worms are malicious software applications designed to spread via computer networks, they are one type of Malware and the easiest way to get a worm is by opening an email. You won’t get a worm if you install or maybe listen to something on internet, they are mostly found in emails. They are too complex to be detected by the normal Anti-virus, so sometimes you need a special Anti-virus (in most of the time you have to pay to obtain them).

Virus

A computer virus is a computer program that can multiply easily and infect the person’s computer without any permission. Normally, you get a virus when you download files from internet such as songs, videos, movies and in most of the time ANTI-VIRUSES! They are designed to spread and infect as many computers as they can. Sometimes, computer viruses are confused with Trojan Horses and worms, but what not everyone knows is that they are completely different. Sometimes, even though you have a Anti-virus software, you can get a virus very easily because old virus are modified every single day and new virus are created as well, so your Anti-virus will never be up to date with all the virus around the world.
There are several types of viruses: Malware and Adware are the most famous because they are the easiest virus to get and everyday new software are created to help people who want to keep their computers safe. Basically Malware is any malicious software designed to disrupt the working of a network which means that the faster you get free of them, safer your computer will be. Adware are installed in the user’s machine without their permission, and they are mostly found in advertisements and pop-ups (those small windows showing “unbelievable” promotions that are shown in some websites). They are “less dangerous” than the Malwares because they are just “small pieces of virus” that will together spy the user’s life on internet and catch their passwords as soon as they type them up.
